MORTGAGE WEALTH BLUEPRINT™
Your Mortgage Is More Than a Monthly Payment
Your mortgage affects more than your monthly payment. The Mortgage Wealth Blueprint™ helps you evaluate financing decisions alongside your cash flow, savings, investments, and long-term goals to build a strategy that supports your financial future.
BEYOND TRADITIONAL MORTGAGE PLANNING
The Traditional Mortgage Conversation Is Too Small
A home may be one of your largest assets, and a mortgage one of your largest financial obligations. Yet most mortgage conversations focus only on rates, payments, and loan amounts.
The Mortgage Wealth Blueprint™ takes a broader approach by considering how financing decisions interact with your overall financial situation.
Brian’s background in Human Development and Family Relations also informs how we approach money decisions, recognizing that personal priorities, family circumstances, and financial comfort matter alongside the numbers.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Mortgage Wealth Blueprint FAQs
What is opportunity cost?
Opportunity cost is the value of an alternative you give up when making a financial decision. Money used for mortgage principal cannot simultaneously reduce other debt, remain invested, fund retirement, or support another goal. The Blueprint helps make those competing uses of capital visible.
Are mortgage points worth paying?
Discount points may reduce your mortgage rate in exchange for an upfront cost. Whether paying points makes sense depends on the cost, expected monthly savings, and how long you anticipate keeping the loan. A lower advertised interest rate is not automatically the most economical choice.
When should I build a Blueprint?
The Blueprint can be useful before purchasing, refinancing, making a large principal payment, withdrawing equity, buying investment property, or approaching retirement. It can also help following major income changes, divorce, family transitions, or other events that affect your financial priorities. The Mortgage Decision Matrix™ helps identify what your strategy should accomplish.
Why review my mortgage annually?
Your mortgage strategy may need to adapt as income, home values, financial goals, tax circumstances, and market conditions change. An annual review helps determine whether your existing loan still fits. A review does not necessarily lead to refinancing; sometimes keeping your current mortgage is the most appropriate decision.
